James Welborn Creative Director / Writer
James has created strategy and highly-effective marketing campaigns for clients such as Budweiser, Microsoft, Virgin, GM, Baskin Robbins, Whiskas, Mars Inc. and many others. He's worked at major agencies in cities including Los Angeles, NYC, Boston, St. Louis and San Francisco. He also taught "Advertising Concept" at Art Center in Pasadena for three years.
In early 2008, James recognized just how substantially marketing was going to change as a result of emerging social media trends - and he decided to focus on best practices in that area. His insights are now followed by hundreds of marketing professionals on his blog and Twitter pages.
Over the years James has created on and offline advertising that has won awards from Clio, One Show, Best of Show National Addy's, International Film & TV Festival, Belding, Effie, Mobius, New York Festivals, London Intl. Advertising Awards, Mercury Radio Awards, Hollywood Radio & Television plus ADWEEK's "10 Best TV Spots of the Nineties." Other than writing, two of his favorite pursuits are hiking up mountains and playing guitar, which he doesn't ordinarily do at the same time.
