The City of Oakland Contest
We created Oakland's first social marketing program, based on extensive research with evangelists. The 'I Choose Oakland' contest we created brought in thousands of new fans. The contest culminated with a 'real world meets virtual' community event - something that's often overlooked in social marketing.
Mayor Jean Quan attended, and people took advantage of the opportunity to meet in person - not just online. We love thinking outside the box (and the web) when it comes to social media.
